Whiskey is a very sweet boy who is around 10 months old. He is heartworm negative, up-to-date on his vaccines and monthly meds, and is neutered.

Whiskey has warmed up nicely in his foster home. He is doing well with potty training if he has a routine of being taken out every 3 or so hours. He is not a lap dog but will happily lay next to you on the sofa. He’s learned to use stairs to get onto a sofa or bed. He loves being outside and laying in the sun.

He takes a little while to warm up to people and seems to take longer with men than women. He will need some time to become comfortable in a new home and may prefer alone time at first. Until he’s comfortable he will avoid being picked up. He seems to attach more to one person than any other and will follow that person around everywhere. Even if you aren’t his person, he’s not the slightest bit aggressive even with new people.

Whiskey gets along great with other dogs but he does need to eat separately. He does not have any leash walking skills. This is not uncommon given his background. He has not been kid tested.

Whiskey arrived in the second group of 15 dogs. A total of 25 dogs were surrendered to Fawn's as a part of a hoarding situation over two weekend in January 2025.
