Adopting a Fawn's Dog
Feel great about adopting!
Adopting a dog is an exciting and rewarding experience. Not only are you saving a life, you are creating a safe and loving environment for a dog to thrive and grow in. You enrich your life with a devoted companion who loves you unconditionally.
The dog you adopt is fully vetted and microchipped. Some are already house broken, crate trained, and know basic commands. Some dogs may be earlier on their path and still learning.
There are too many homeless dogs and not enough people able to adopt. Far too many companion animals are euthanized in the United States each year due to over crowded shelters. Of the dogs entering shelters, approximately 65% are adopted and 13% are euthanized. Pet stores, puppy mills, and backyard breeders all contribute to these the statistics.
A dog is a lifetime commitment!
If you are interested adopting please fill out our adoption application. Potential adopters must be 21 years or older.

Adoption donations range from $175 to $450 and are based on the individual dogs and their age, needs, and medical expenses (paid out while in our care). ALL adoption donation fees go to our foster dogs and their veterinary care and needs. This empowers us to continue saving lives.

Fawn's does a veterinarian and reference check. Your application will be denied if the animals you own are not properly vaccinated, neutered and spayed, and up to date on their heartworm and other preventative medications.

We do our best to select the family and home that we feel is ideal based on the unique needs of each dog. Our adoption process includes a Home Visit which we complete as a part of the Meet and Greet. At the end of the Meet and Greet, those who pass the Home Visit have the opportunity to sign the adoption contract and begin their 7-day pre-adoption trial. This is to ensure that you have found the right fit for your family.

Important: An adoption contract must be signed by the adopter before the dog can be placed into their new home.
At the end of the 7-day trial period we reach out to confirm that you have found your fur-ever friend. As an organization, we have a 7 day refund policy and, for the safety of the dog, a lifetime return policy.
As a small, volunteer-run non-profit organization with limited resources. We prioritize the applications of potential adopters who live within our 150 radius and have a secure fence.
Note: An invisible fence is not considered safe and secure. Invisible fences do not contain a dog running in fear, nor do they keep stray, unconfined animals from entering your property. This is why we prioritize applicants with fenced yards.
